WHO liliatilt design IS

We Includes Us All

liliatilt design is a small studio based in Lake Tahoe where we meticulously craft lovely, user-friendly websites, identity packages and print campaigns for our amazing clients. We've worked for big names like Humana, Hallmark and Annika Sorenstamas well as shops around the corner. And while we've won a fair share of awards for print and web, we don't do it for the glory. We do it for our clients. And the public. Beautifying the world one elegant font and sexy color scheme at a time. If you want us to help you out on your next project, get in touch.
liliatilt design is run by freelance designer April Marriner. But our work is a collaboration of a network of very talented people with vast expertise allowing us to produce your project in a cost- and time-efficient manner. We believe your website, brochure or business card should be a beautiful, accessible and enjoyable experience for everyone. Check out some of our work for yourself, learn more about what we do, or just send us an email for a free quote and consultation.
We're a company with a conscience. If you are a nonprofit organization, please contact us for special pricing. We also like to give our planet a helping hand. That's why, when client approved, our websites are hosted on wind-powered servers, and when possible our printed materials are done on recycled paper with soy-based inks.

The Name

I get a lot of questions about this one. The name liliatilt was derived from the e.e. cummings poem "listen...", here is an exerpt for fun and edification:

listen
beloved
i dreamed
it appeared that you thought to
escape me and became a great
lily atilt on
insolent
waters but i was aware of
fragrance and i came riding upon
a horse of porphyry into the
waters i rode down the red
horse shrieking from splintering
foam caught you clutched you upon my
mouth

We love Cummings, Neruda, Rilke. We love beautifying the world through well-executed design. We love over usage of exclamation points!!! Although our wordsmith and programmer, A. Elaine Van Der Wall quoted that three excamation points should only be used under threat of eminent demise.

We love hiking with the dog, playing with the babe and listening to The Luminous Empty jam in the basement. We love good wine, decadent food and suprising photography.

And if you've made it this far, we love you!!!
